Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students within my classroom are very energetic and needs the time and space to expell their energy. Creating an environment for the students to have the ability to use a trampoline will create a special learning environment for them. Having a trampoline within my classroom will help my students become more focused as well as provide them with breaks when needed throughout the day.
Having a trampoline does not just stop there though.
It will allow my students to express their wants and needs as well! Students will be able to request for breaks either through verbal communication or a picture exchange communication system. Being able to express your wants and needs is a quality of life.
Math manipulative that are included within request are specific manipulative for my students. Sadly, the manipulative provided to the school are not appropriate for my individual students due to their curiosity and sensory input. Many of the material provided for the student becomes damaged. Allow for my students to receive these manipulative will help my students learn with tool that will increase their ability to learn math skills such as counting, adding, and subtraction.
