My Students
I teach a wonderful group of creative first graders at a school in Southern California where over 30% of the students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch daily.
Our school loves to integrate the arts and technology into our academics because we know that many students are inspired and thrive in an atmosphere where they can explore, discover, and have fun too.
We are a school of many cultures, and many students speak another language other than English at home.
My Project
This iMac will serve as the primary computer in my classroom and as one of the primary machines serving the entire school community.
This iMac will be used to create school materials, posters, imagery and worksheets; project interactive lessons; update and configure classroom iPads; manage websites; and aid in the administration of the classroom and whole-school activities and business.
Students will use the computer to collaborate on and create and share colorful presentations - meeting 21st century standards for education and keeping up technology.
As I am the tech coordinator for the school, this computer will also assist with much of the goings-on school wide.
