Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I service students from Kindergarten through 5th grade who are all English Language Learners.
Many of my students are recent arrivals to the United States and need a variety of differentiated supports for their learning.
They are also economically disadvantaged and thus can't provide the needed school supplies or essential materials to succeed and achieve. My students are amazing and have amazing potential. My goal is to help them reach their highest potential but there is a scarcity of materials and many times students don't have basic supplies to complete their assignments.
My Project
My English Language Learners are challenged to navigate a new country, a new school, and a new way of learning. Learning for all students is challenging and I want to give them all the classroom tools and manipulative needed for them to grow both academically and also in confidence.
I am requesting an HP Chromebook laptop computer which will be used by my English Language Learners.
This computer will be used by me to differentiate my lessons and instructions. All our school's programs, including math, language and Google Classroom, are online.
