This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work in a wonderful preschool classroom with a co-teacher who teaches preschool special education. It's been an amazing challenge trying to find what works in this collaborative setting.
Our classroom consists of both general education and special education students.
All of our students are full of energy and are eager to learn through structure and play. They love to share and learn about what makes us all different and they learn something new every day. We celebrate our differences.
My Project
We will be covering a unit on Transportation and Travel. Our students will be working on classroom activities and home projects covering Transportation and Travel. Since preschool students learn mostly through play, we want to take them to an educational theme park, Adventure City, to experience transportation in a new and exciting way!
Most of our students do not have opportunity of going on field trips and visiting educational theme parks with their parents.
We want to give them this opportunity by choosing Adventure City as our one field trip for this school year.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
