An Environment Conducive to Learning

Help me give my students flexible seating, lighting, fidgets, and more that will help with the Social and emotional side of learning, as well as make the classroom environment inviting and conducive to learning for all learners!

My Project

These items will help make the classroom inviting for all learners. I teach a variety of students and class types. The fidgets are such a popular tool that can help students focus more on the assignments and show more success overall. They also help teach responsibility to my students with disabilities, where social cues and norms are not something they do well at: in the classroom of taking care of things, sharing, putting them away, and more. The lighting features will help students feel welcomed and cut down on harsh overhead lighting. I have several students who suffer from migraines. These lamps really help with an alternative option, as well as help us keep the environment calm, which many of my students need. The flexible seating supplies will also help make the environment one that fuels learning and yields comfort - allowing students to focus more on the task at hand.
