My students are young, adventurous, and energetic. They are in a phase of their life where they are beginning to experience responsibility and independence.
Each child is unique and vibrant and needs a space and material that they can call their own.
My students grow so much from the beginning to end of the year when it comes to organization, especially when materials are their own.
My Project
I teach Kindergarten and they are beginning to learn responsibility and independence. With the pandemic of COVID-19, my classroom has to change to be most conducive to daily cleaning and sanitizing. With that said, my classroom does not have a space that is their own anymore. With this project each student will receive materials that can easily be sanitized and cleaned daily. These materials will provide them with a space of their own and help them to feel a sense of belonging in my classroom. They will be able to take ownership of their materials, keep them clean, and learn how to organize and take care of their items.
