My Students
My students are ambitious, caring and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration! As a first-year teacher, I couldn't have been blessed with a group of wonderful diverse students.
Their eagerness and drive of wanting to learn motivates me every day to provide them with many opportunities of and various ways to learn in order to meet their individual needs.
The school in which I teach in is a Title I school.
My Project
Although SmartBoards are wonderful, there are so many times when pen to paper (or marker to a board) makes such a difference. We need this easel to be able to properly display and refer to charts, keep our markers within reach, and give students the chance to write and learn together. There are so many activities that we will be able to do simply by having a dry erase board and magnetic surface available to us. Currently, I have no dry erase surface in my classroom and we create class charts by using tape to hang anchor charts from the SmartBoard. There's got to be a better way!
