An Easel for Reading, Writing, and Sharing Our Thinking Together!
Help me give my students a double sided easel that will serve as a reading and writing center. Also, I would love to give them each personal dry erase boards where they can practice writing on the rug!

My Project
My second grade class has worked so hard on their reading and writing this year and their hard work is paying off. As we have worked we have found that we are lacking some tools we need to facilitate the reading/writing process.
This 3-in-1 Reading and Writing Center easel will have a lasting impact on my students learning.
With this easel, I will be able to develop lessons that are more engaging and accessible to my students. The materials and curriculum will become a part of our shared space, We will use this easel to hold books as we read together. We will use it to create anchor charts and work on writing together. It will also provide a white board on one side where the students and I can write and re-write words, sentences and stories. I also included personal white boards so they can show thinking on their own in a risk free environment.
My students are a diverse group hard working children. More than half of my students are Multi-lingual learners that have overcome so much to show great progress this year. I would love to give them the tools they need to share the pen with me and take charge of their own learning!
