I plan to use the easel during literacy and math lessons, to reinforce new skills that are being taught. Student participation is a large part of my lessons, and this easel will allow students to come up and share their thoughts on the white board or on chart paper. The shelves underneath the easel is where my students daily readers will be housed, and the shelf above is where I will put my big book as I'm reading to students each day.
I am hoping to keep students more focused and engaged with the use of this classroom easel, as it will give a focal point to the lessons.
The wheels on the easel make it so that I can move it depending on how many students are in class, and in a way that is most beneficial to them. My students are special because they a bright, diverse group, who are eager to learn, and have bold personalities.
