Carpet time is an essential part of a kindergarten classroom. We read stories, make anchor charts, and do all of our whole group lessons on the carpet.
My students are inquisitive children who are ready for learning!
They absolutely love story time at this age! They love reading big books and creating stories on chart paper.
Our school is in a rural area in a great community. Parents and teachers are always working to make sure that our students succeed!
My Project
We have an easel, but it is broken. We use our easel every day. We use it from reading and math lessons. We use it to read big books and write on chart paper for morning message and anchor charts. An easel is a big part of kindergarten! We use it throughout the day, every day!
Right now, our easel breaks when it is moved.
We also don't have a ledge to hold up a big book. This makes it very difficult to use. Having an easel that is in good condition will allow me to teach lessons more efficiently, increasing student learning.
