Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

First grade is such an exciting year for my students. This is my students first time at a big, new school. My students are working on learning to be better, more confident readers. Learning to be stronger writers, mathematicians, scientists, and good civilians. Our classroom loves to do go noodle, play outside, and spend time as a family.

My students are creative, loving, and enthusiastic with their learning.

My students come from an inner city and have a lot of struggles against them. But, they still continue to persevere and strive to be better learners each day. They come to school with a smile on their face and are always ready for a new day of learning.

My Project

My students each have a Chromebook at school that is theirs to use. We use the Chromebooks during almost every block of learning in our day. These headphones will help my students be able to use features on their Chromebook that read text out loud to them. They will also be able to focus more attentively on their work if they are listening to just their own Chromebook.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.

All of my students are fluent at navigating and using technology in our everyday lessons. Right now we do not have enough working headphones for every student in my classroom. It becomes difficult because students then waste time trying to find headphones instead of getting right to work. The class set of headphones would solve this issue and my students would be able to better use all the technology resources they have.
