My Students
I work in a Title I school located in New York. Our population consists of minorities and low income families. Most come to school without the necessary materials to be successful and empowered learners. All students are eager to learn new and interesting things. Our goal is to prepare students for upper grades and become college ready individuals.
Our Elementary School serves students in grades K-5 and provides rigorous academics, a safe learning environment and without question, an amazing staff.
Due to these great efforts, our school is one of the top-performing schools in our district. We continue to thrive daily and push our students to their fullest potential.
My Project
STUDENTS NEED TECHNOLOGY!
With these headphones my students can use iPads and laptops independently.
They can navigate educational apps and websites without distracting their peers.
Our class uses great online resources such as MyOn (online library, Lexia (reading skills app), BrainPop Jr (videos about imporant topics), PebbleGo (online article based program, Flocabulary (engaging rap songs containing academic content) and so many more. The use of individual headphones with allow more than one student to use our laptops and iPads at a time.
