Help me give my students some really amazing classroom activities and some headphones to listen to them.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Spears's classroom raised $201
This project is fully funded
My Students
My students are in a special classroom. They are made up of many different disabilities. Some are learning disabled, emotionally disturbed and many are on the autism spectrum. These students are mostly from non-English speaking homes and live in low-income housing. The students are amazing and although they all have challenges they come to school with good positive attitudes on most days and continue to learn through their struggles.
I teach math and most of my students have very weak math skills but do use all the tools and strategies available to them.
They love any type of hands-on activity. We just did an entire lesson on proportions using sugar and soda. They couldn’t wait to go home and tell their parents about how many packs of sugar are in one Mountain Dew (19 packs).
My Project
These lessons will continue to enhance the Google Classroom that I strive to create. My classroom is a place that my students really enjoy- We meet online there, they complete work there, and they work independently! Every lesson that is placed in my classroom is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to learn. All of these lessons have been chosen with my students in mind. I have watched them the past few weeks of school interact with lessons just like these, and I have also asked them what type of lessons they most enjoy. Students will be able to interact together in the classroom which will help them continue to enjoy all of their google meets.
More than half of students from low‑income households
