it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My ENL kindergarten class has a love for learning. We come from around an area of New York and have mixed backgrounds. Some of us are in school for the very first time, while some of us were previously in pre-k. We are very creative, love to read books, and like to use a wide variety of sensory materials to learn our numbers and letters! Our favorite book is Pete the Cat, I Love My White Shoes. We always try our best to succeed and never give up!
My Project
Our class is in need of a technology upgrade. We need speakers to enhance our learning. We love to watch brain pop videos and listen to instrumental music when we work. Right now we listen to music and videos without good quality speakers but it is frustrating for my students to strain their ears to hear clearly. New speakers would help me make my classroom a place that enriches their lives and develops in them a love of music and culture.
My students also love arts and crafts and we are very low on glue.
We use this for gluing, painting and collages. It helps them develop their fine motor skills as well as their understanding of color and textures. However, we are running very low and are in need of more!
