My Project
All of my students love to listen to books that help broaden their understanding of the world they live in, and explore the possibilities of worlds beyond their own.
Numerous studies have shown that students with access to a listening library develop 1) a greater interest in reading, 2) improved literacy skills and comprehension and 3) increased vocabulary and syntax levels.
It's my hope to create a listening center with a library of stories as diverse as my students. I am starting with this set of nonfiction books.
Many of the students in my class like to read nonfiction books that increase their understanding of the world around them.
