An Awesome Answer to Where Is Your Homework?

Help me give my students a way to keep communication open between teacher, parent, and student with organizational binders. We also need printer ink, prizes, paper, and other school supplies.

My Students

My students are lively, busy, creative and love to come to school. Even though they are from an area in Detroit, Michigan that does not offer many opportunities, they love to come to school. Many receive free or reduced-price lunch. Day to day life is challenging for them. Come sunshine, rain, sleet or snow, they show up and my classroom is full.

My students are six and seven years old and learn best through hands-on learning.

They love to absorb knowledge, whether it's from a chalkboard or technology. They thrive on learning when they are engaged and have numerous opportunities in school that they do not have at home.

My Project

Homework is the key to enrichment. Just getting it home is a challenge for my young students along with having the materials to do it. The binders and sheet protectors will serve as the vehicle to and from home for homework and communication from me. Having pencil cases, pencils and erasers available will help my students complete the task once it gets home. Supplies such as paper, printer ink, and a pencil sharpener are daily necessities in the classroom.

Let's make it a challenge!

I'll make it a personal challenge to see how many stickers students can earn and visits to a treasure box for rewards by returning their binders each day, signed by their guardian or parent. All can be fun and games when you are learning through your homework.
