An Artist's Library - Just Like Me

Help me give my students an artist's library! Books such as "Radiant Child: Story of Michel Basquait, "The Met: Faith Ringgold," "Round is a Tortilla: Book of Shapes," will encourage students' creativity to grow while building reading skills.

My Project

This library will provide an opportunity for students to learning about artists, illustrators, authors, activists, among others, that reflect their cultures and heritage. We will use these books in lessons and the books will be available to students in the classroom library, which is near our "Calm Corner."

Students will not only gain knowledge of the art world, but will also build their reading skills which is a school-wide focus.
