This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our art classes, we encourage creativity and self-expression among our students. However, one of the challenges we face is providing adequate space for their artwork to dry. Currently, we lack sufficient drying racks, which means that students often have to wait for their projects to dry before moving onto the next activity.

I don't have my own art classroom, I push into 7 classes a day in their homerooms, and currently struggle with having a designated drying space without impeding on the extra counter space.

Drying racks are an integral part of my class, and it's not sustainable to do my job without them.

The Need:

Having dedicated drying racks will allow our students to work more efficiently, ensuring their artwork has the proper space and airflow to dry without damage. This will not only improve the quality of their work but also enhance their overall experience in their homeroom.

Impact:

With your support, we can purchase drying racks that will benefit our students for years to come. These racks will help our young artists showcase their work with pride and learn the importance of patience and persistence in the creative process.
