An Art Class to Remember: Painting, Drawing, Photography Tools
Help me give my students access to photography materials, supplies for drawing and painting in class, as well as organizational tools for the classroom.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project is to help fund materials for all of my art classes - Intro to Art, where students will learn a variety of drawing and painting skills, Advanced Drawing and Painting, where select students will further their knowledge and talent in the arts, and Photography where students will learn the basics of layout, composition, parts of the camera, editing, and go out and around the school to get the best photos. This project is designed to help set up our classroom systems while allowing our students to have access to the supplies they need without financial worry.
When students are given equal opportunities and equal access to supplies, they are more likely to feel like they are ALL a part of the class, and therefore, are more likely to have a positive experience in the class.
With your help, student will be able to access a camera and supplies that will further their creativity as well as put them on equal footing with more wealthy districts around the country when it comes to applying for art competitions and galleries.
With your help in fulfilling this project, you are helping to guarantee a group of students a successful academic year in a visual art classroom - something the school has not had before.
