An Aquarium for a Calming Corner

Help me give my students an aquarium to help calm and regulate emotions in our calming corner to help soothe those that are dealing with big emotions.

My Project

Our classroom is a community of learners but sometimes our youngest learners get overwhelmed. My students are unique, creative, and happy kindergartners but some are dealing with big emotions.

An aquarium can help calm our youngest learners so that they are able to get back to learning.

We currently have a bean bag, a jellyfish canopy,books, fidgets, and calming sand toys. I think an aquarium can add more to such a vital area in a early learning classroom.

Since Covid 19, students are coming into school with less social skills that children of the past have had. Providing a calming aquarium will help regulate emotions.
