This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The AquaSprouts Garden will allow students to grow plants and raise fish right in the classroom! My students will learn about ecosystems and become personally invested in helping our plants and fish thrive while adding beauty, joy, and life to our classroom.
Our English language learners will particularly benefit from the hands-on experience of working with this desktop garden ecosystem.
My students are always seeking ways to connect their school learning with the real world outside of the classroom. By growing our own edible plants and pet fish, students will understand the connection between different aspects of an ecosystem and community. We all play an integral role in each other's survival!
