My Students
The students in my third grade remote class strive for excellence. They inherently care for one another, and continuously try to improve themselves, both academically and personally. My students work together to create a wonderful supportive environment. By meeting challenges with patience and humor, they perform better than ever expected in our fully remote learning classroom.
With teacher guidance, these students work tirelessly to manage their devices and increase their learning.
Since parents are working, many of my students have no additional home support during the school day. They are often babysat by grandparents who do not speak English, or do not know how to work an iPad. Some are home with siblings that have no time to help them. Despite these challenges, all of my students make an incredible effort to succeed, showing both resilience and determination throughout it all.
My Project
I need to acquire an iPad in order to improve the effectiveness of my lessons for my students throughout the day. An iPad would allow me to understand how my students experience websites and apps on their NYC iPads. Therefore, I would be able to help them maneuver the web more efficiently.
In a remote learning classroom, an iPad is essential for effectively teaching mathematical processes, correcting student work and illustrating important concepts.
In fact, some of the most useful educational remote resources can only be accessed fully on an iPad. Using apps such as Nearpod, Canvas, Padlet, and Quizziz, students receive the best remote instruction possible. Please help my students have an equitable education in these difficult and challenging times.
