This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are special education students in an inclusion setting. They have varying disabilities which require specialized instruction. Some of these specialized instructions are on social skills, behavior management, executive functioning, problem solving, decreasing anxiety inducing moments and academic support.
The students on my caseload are always engaged, highly interested in learning, happy to be in school and some of the most lovable children I have had the pleasure of working with.
Some of these students come from low income families with experiences and challenges that most adults have not had to deal with. No matter their background or what they have gone through, they always show up with a smile on their face!
My Project
Working for Boston Public Schools is something that I am proud of! However with budgets it makes getting what you need a little challenging. During remote learning I provide small group or individual services to children with Special Educational needs, and my students require specialized instruction in many different areas throughout the school day.
My students deserve the right to receive remote specialized instruction without glitches!
After much research it has proven that MacBooks seem to be the most compatible with Zoom technology, and it is the computer that will provide the best access to my students while we continue remote learning. This computer will also be used to create materials for parents, take data, write reports and keep me in contact with families in need.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
