The world today is all about technology. This is a good and bad thing. Good because it helps them use computers, tablets, is engaging and makes them independent to complete work. Technology is always updating and becoming extinct. We need new technology to help the children complete their work.
The hard part is technology is always going out of date and then it's hard to use them with newer programs or apps.
This is frustrating for the students as well as the adults.
iPads are a high reinforcer which is great when children do their work, they can have a few minutes to use the iPads for an app of their choice. Our iPads are slowly starting to not work so it would be helpful to have another iPad that works. It is amazing how every child knows how to use technology. They are able to find programs and online apps.
We have new reading programs that have an online portion that is hard to do when we don't have technology to use. We also do online programs that enhance our learning. We use these programs for assessment also, multiple times a year.
