My Project
Technology is an amazing thing and the new EdTech that uses AI for reading intervention means that while I am meeting with small groups doing live instructions, my students can be getting additional reading support at their level using programs like Amira, Lexia, and Khan Academy Kids.
Additionally the main program I use for Reading Intervention, called UFLI, has some technological aspects that I currently am unable to use with my students.
Through the UFLI website there are virtual word work mats and games that my students are unable to access due to lack of technology in my classroom.
With the addition of two iPads to my reading intervention classroom I'll be able to not only give students access to these digital programs, but they will also provide me with additional data points to help drive my instruction and help to develop students who love to read.
