My Students
I teach third grade, gifted and talented and I have twenty-nine students. My classroom is filled with a diverse group of students from all backgrounds, academic levels, etc. They are the coolest, most intelligent bunch of students I have ever met! They are hard working, entertaining, and motivated.
My students have a variety of strengths as well as a variety of needs, both academic and social.
I work hard to educate all learners in my room, and we have fun doing so each and every day.
My Project
The "new" world has made teachers creative and tech savvy. I am teaching in a world where I see some of my students online and some of my students in the classroom. Sometimes the school gets shut down and we go completely remote.
My goal is to stay connected with my students the best ways possible.
An Apple iPad will allow me to access a (virtual) whiteboard application that will help me to teach math lessons with greater explanation and visualization. It will allow me to teach our latest novel and underline vocabulary words and important sections within the text. It will enable me to set up the iPad in the classroom to connect with the students that are home working remotely. We will be able to join as class, even when we are spread across the city!
This Apple iPad can help make transitions from remote to in person learning seamless. At this point in our lives (the students and I), we need seamless!
