My Students

I am a student teacher just starting my career in Elementary Education, grades 1-6. This year I am teaching in a first grade classroom, but this project will benefit all my future students and classrooms, no matter what grade level I will be teaching.

Last year's distant learning due to Covid has taught us how important it is for students to feel the presence of their teacher.

We have seen the importance of face-to-face interaction between students and their teacher. Now that we are back in the classroom, I want to give my students the best learning environment I possibly can. My students are very special to me. I want them to be successful and able to achieve by building a relationship with them.

My Project

In my studies I have learned that classroom management plays a major role in having an effective classroom. One way to keep a classroom running smoothly is as simple as walking around. Circulating the classroom maintains proximity to students and is a great way to monitor their progress.

An Apple iPad along with the Apple Pencil will transform the way I can teach in my classroom.

With this technology, I do not have to stand in front of the classroom in front of the board, but will be able to walk around the room, teaching from my iPad, wirelessly mirroring my screen on the projector display while monitoring their work.

Being out in the class with my students will allow me to become a more effective teacher and will improve my students' learning experience.
