it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As the school year is closing, I realize that my current laptop is slow, lagging, and has many technical issues. This upcoming summer, I plan to attend a variety of professional development and plan with my colleagues before we return to the new school year. Therefore, I need a more reliable computer to take to workshops and plan my lessons outside of school. The laptop will enable me to access resources, lesson plans, and online programs to use with my students for the upcoming school year. In addition, I teach science so my students work in labs and before the science labs, the students prepare themselves by building background knowledge through research and lessons. Therefore, I need a more reliable computer to plan remotely and find effective lessons and activities that are available online.
Having a reliable laptop will help me become a more effective and efficient educator to my students because I can use the computer at workshops, plan lessons and activities remotely, and even use the computer with my students during instruction.
I teach all kinds of learners and I know that many of them are more successful in learning the science concepts when I meet with them in small groups. If I had a more dependable computer, then I could even use it with my students during small groups. Please support my project and help me get a more updated and reliable laptop.
