My students are an amazing group of kids. They are enthusiastic about school and embrace everything we do in class. They love reading, P.E., math, and science. Our school is a kindergarten through eighth-grade school located in rural California. It serves 450 students. Our school is surrounded by forests and mountains and has daily visitors such as geese, turkeys, and deer.
Our school has a strong academic and athletic culture.
I want to maintain our strength in these areas by continuing to provide materials to enrich my students' experiences.
My Project
I am requesting an Apple iPad Pro for my students to use aa a computer for research and to use with our science kits.
In third grade, students do a lot of research to help them prep for state testing.
I am requesting this iPad to be used to help them with this goal.
Students will write research projects, take reading tests, and practice math skills using the iPad. In addition, the iPad will be used for our coding kits like the Osmo kits and LEGO Mindstorm kits. Students will use the iPad for programming these kits.
Students will also use the iPad to read stories to improve reading comprehension. We have an online bookshelf and students will be able to access the books on the iPad.
