An Apple A Day Makes Students Have FUN Activities Everyday!
Help me give my students an appealing lesson presentations with the use of a new Apple computer to help improve their engagement in fun creative slides, games and videos that will encourage participation and lead to lesson retention.
All of my students have autism. They learn very differently from other children. They are highly visual and kinesthetic learners. They love to move, sing, and explore the classroom. Learning for them has to be fun and engaging. Using textured materials, realia, colorful computer slide presentations and manipulatives help them enjoy learning reading, writing, as well as math.
My students love to learn.
They try their very best to be in school every day. Their parents are our partners in education, without their help and support, the children will not be as successful as they are now. My students are integrated some part of the day with their non-disabled peers and they are well-respected and loved by our school, by other children, and by our community.
My Project
My computer is my best friend I use it for meetings, trainings, Individualized Education Plans (IEP), and most of all teaching. My old laptop provides very challenging issues in this technology-driven education that we are currently facing.
Teaching engaging lessons has been a big challenge for teachers working with children with special needs.
Everyday I try to design fun and interactive activities that will motivate them to participate every day and experience the beauty of the 21st century learning. I have explored green screen technology to make my lessons fun during remote learning, slide presentations and many more with the use of computer. Help me to help my students learn and retain lesson better with the use of a newer and better technology.
