This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
How can we close the achievement gap when students do not have the necessary materials to succeed?
The students in my classroom are students who come from a low income neighborhood with limited resources.
They have been greatly effected by the pandemic and have learning and emotional disabilities.
Our classes serve students with a range of disabilities. The students in my classroom are very bright and are able to succeed if they are provided with the proper materials to help them and get them more engaged. Students should be excited to learn and have hands on materials to keep them engaged to explore on their own.
My Project
“All of us do not have equal talent, but all of us should have an equal opportunity to develop our talents.” ~ John F. Kennedy
My students come from a low income neighborhood and don’t have many resources to help them read.
Many of my students are English language learners. Our students in our classroom can benefit from an enriched library where they can have a variety of books to choose from. Please help my students have the opportunity to go book shopping and take books home to share with their families. Every student should indulge in the joyous occasion of reading.
