My Project

We are a 3rd grade classroom in the Interior of Alaska. In years previous my students enjoyed a free breakfast at school and lunch. Thanks to a wonderful grant. This school year there is not free breakfast or lunch at our school. Very sad, students really loved starting the day with a full tummy. As a teacher knowing my students had a good breakfast they were ready to start the day. Knowing each child got a breakfast makes me happy. I would like to help any of my students not have hunger starting the school day.

Being able to offer a child something to eat can make my students day better.

Helping my students have a place where they can be safe and food to start the day means the world to me. Having the burden off their shoulders so they can be a kid and enjoy school not having to worry about having an empty tummy.
