Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This PA will allow my students to experience high quality audio with the multimedia we use as well as amplifying their voices when participating in important projects. The classroom is the first place to practice using their metaphorical and physical voice. This will show them they deserve to be heard. We will be using it for speeches and spoken word poetry in class.
My goals for this project are to reinforce to students that they deserve to be heard and their voice matters.
My students are in an area that is historically under-represented, and they tend to be scared to share opinions and thoughts. The more practice they get doing that, and the more we listen, the better they will become at advocating for themselves.
My students are hard-working and deserve to have their voices heard. They deserve to hear each other succeed. And they deserve to celebrate with music when they do!
