Amplifying Black Boy Narratives in Youth Literature

Help me give my students books portraying black boys as protagonists for our classroom library.

My Project

Our mission is to foster an inclusive and diverse learning environment for children by introducing them to literature that showcases black boys as the protagonists. We believe that representation matters, and by providing access to a wide range of children's books featuring Black boys as the central characters, we aim to instill a sense of pride and self-confidence in young readers.

Through these stories, children will see themselves reflected positively and recognize that they too can be the heroes of their own adventures.

With the requested materials, we plan to create a dedicated section in our classroom library, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to engage with these empowering narratives.
