This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are eager to learn daily despite the fact that most of them come to school with little or no school supplies. I focus on providing a fun and creative learning environment. My students are regular education and English as a second language learners and special education students. Most of my students live in single-parent homes.
I teach at a Title I school where 100 percent of my students receive free breakfast and lunch daily.
I know I cannot change the struggles they face at home, but I can make sure their lives at school are positive, exciting, and rewarding.
My Project
Having to mask up is a safe way for me to interact with my students. It is very hard for my students to understand me. With the extra face covering it makes it hard for them to hear me with out yelling. We are all frustrated with having to repeat ourselves daily.
Hearing me is essential for learning.
Having the Giecy Voice Amplifier will allow me to provide my students the volume they need to interact with me during whole group. The Tripod and stand will allow me to display my ipad during small groups for all the students to see during Math and Reading. The earpods will allow me to hear and allow my virtual students to hear me without the background noise during Math, Reading, Science and Social Studies. The Germ Filter Air Purifier will help keep our air clean and free of dust. These items will help improve our volume.
