My Students

My students are energetic and amazing kids from the south side of Chicago. Most of the kids I teach are faced with challenges in their lives, both at home and at school. As their music teacher, I hope to help my students by encouraging them to express themselves in positive ways.

My students love music class because they get a chance to share a creative experience with their peers.

Our school is running on a bare bones budget, and funding for the arts is just not there. Your donation would help to provide a quality musical experience for deserving students.

My Project

Hello there. In this project, I am requesting some cables and cords that my students need to utilize the musical equipment we have in the classroom, as well as an amp for my electric guitarists.

Several of my students want to sing, but their voices are never heard above the guitars, basses and drums.

We have made a lot of progress on our instruments since the beginning of the year. We need vocals to round out the sound and have a "real" rock band, but we don't have the right cables to connect the microphones we already have.

If we had the right cords and amplifiers, my students would be able to sing into microphones, and their confidence would soar. Please consider supporting us. Thank you!
