This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

: In today’s digital world, effective communication is as essential as technical skill. Podcasting provides a unique and powerful medium for students to develop both. By creating their own show, students will move beyond passive learning and become active creators and communicators of complex ideas. This project is a hands-on way to apply technology in a meaningful context, combining scientific inquiry with artistic expression.

The Learning Experience: With a podcasting studio, students will transform our classroom into a hub of innovation.

They will research engaging STEAM topics, from the physics of roller coasters to the engineering behind smart homes. They will learn to write compelling scripts, conduct interviews, and use audio technology to edit and produce their episodes. The process will foster critical thinking, collaboration, and public speaking skills, empowering them to share their knowledge with our school and community.

The Impact on Students: This project is more than just about a new piece of equipment; it’s about providing students with a voice. It teaches them to be discerning consumers and ethical creators of media. They will gain a deeper understanding of technology and its role in society, while also building confidence and communication skills that will serve them for a lifetime. This is a project that will build not only a podcast but also future innovators and leaders.
