My students are a mixed bunch of extroverted and introverted middle school kids who have varying degrees of being comfortable in front of their peers. As a trauma-informed teacher, I will not force a child to perform in front of the classroom. However, as this is a drama class, there is an expectation for students to perform.
Enter podcasts and storytelling.
These podcast mics will enable those students who are not as eager to jump up in front of their classmates to still be able to tell their stories. We will use these podcast mics for a variety of tasks. These include but are not limited to recording personal narratives, audiobooks, radio plays, and dramatic interpretations. The possibilities are endless!
