Amplify Our Learning

Help me give my students the PEEQ Qball+ microphone and flexible seating options so that they may be able to engage in the learning environment. This will support both native English speakers and immigrant children.

My Project

Sixth grade students are often easily distracted and need somewhere to channel their energy. Things like yoga balls are always a favorite and allow simpler form of movement. The chair bands help with jittery feet and prevent the kicking of others chairs and tables.

The Qball microphone encourages discussion and participation, even from the more soft spoken students, such as the many immigrant and english language learners in my class.

It has a motion sensor and will pause the mic while the ball is being tossed around the room. I have used them in previous districts and schools and the students thoroughly engaged, especially my more sport focused students. The other supplies help streamline classroom technology and ensure safety away from stretched cords.

These supplies will also support my students who are immigrants, refugees, and English language learners since it streamlines the technology in my classroom that helps them learn and interact with English text. The adapters will allow the class set of computer mics to be use with our iPads.
