My Project
My students are creative, resilient, and eager to express themselves through music. Many of them come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and don’t always have access to the tools and opportunities that foster creative growth. For some, this Music Technology course is their first experience making music—and it's quickly become a space where they feel empowered, heard, and valued.
Help me give my students a quality classroom sound system so they can clearly hear, share, and take pride in the music they create.
While our students are diving into digital composition and production using professional software, we currently lack the equipment needed to properly play back and present their work. A dependable sound system will transform our classroom into a space where ideas aren’t just made—they’re shared. Students will be able to collaborate in real-time, perform their work for peers, and experience the full impact of what they've created.
This project goes beyond technology—it’s about well-being, confidence, and community.
For many of my students, music is not just a class—it’s a lifeline. It’s a way to manage stress, process emotions, and connect with others. Creating and sharing their music can boost their self-esteem, support their mental health, and give them a healthy outlet for expression in a world that doesn’t always listen.
