Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a diverse group of students in a Title 1 school who are passionate about music and eager to express themselves through singing. Our school choir is a new initiative created to offer a musical outlet for students who love music but do not play an instrument and cannot participate in the school band. Starting this choir from scratch means we currently have no resources, and this project is essential to providing the tools we need.
With 40 enthusiastic choir members, we urgently need equipment that can project sound effectively for both indoor and outdoor rehearsals.
The Ibanez AW54CEOPN guitar and VOX VX50 AG amplifier will allow us to amplify our performances, ensuring all students can hear and participate fully. These high-quality resources will enhance their musical experience, allow them to perform in larger spaces, and bring their voices to the forefront.
This project will not only improve their technical skills but also foster teamwork, confidence, and a lifelong love for music. It is a wonderful opportunity for students to grow as musicians and individuals in a supportive, creative environment.
