Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students in 4th and 5th grade at our school are learning to be a Modern Band ensemble. They've learned a little on each instrument in our band - vocals, ukulele, guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, and drums - and the 5th graders this year now get a chance to put it all together into a modern band.
I want them to have the best sound and feel good making music, with two new amplifiers; but I also want to be able to manage the multitude of cables this requires without getting a headache!
Additionally, I want to award 4th-6th graders in musical theatre who performed Lion King KIDS this March with small prizes (Lion King tattoos) as well as treble clef "bentcils" (curved pencils) to my top band students to go with their end-of-year recognition certificates!
