My Students
My students come from a lower-income area in Southwest Missouri. These students are from a lower socioeconomic area and deserve to have access to the high-quality reading materials. These students are creative and ready to learn, and I want to be able to provide them with the most innovative and effective education possible.
88% of the students that attend this school qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.
Money is tight at most of these students' homes, and these children need someone to invest in them. Students learn better when they are allowed to be the active kids that they are, and I hope you consider donating to make alternative seating a fun learning incentive for these special students.
My Project
I am a first year teacher with a very, very active group of 4th grade students. These students need an outlet for their excess energy while they complete assignments. I was very skeptical about flexible seating at first, but after seeing flexible seating run smoothly and successfully in a teacher friend’s classroom, I see how it would benefit my students and have many ideas to implement it. My students need to be able to wiggle while they work!
With your generous donation towards these flexible seating items, my active class can wiggle around while getting work done in nontraditional seating!
At this point in time where so many children sit for hours and hours every day, my desire is to encourage them to be more productive by letting them have more freedom in choosing their workspace! Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!
