My students need resources that are Common Core aligned in Connecticut. The students are also missing the necessary calculators in order to complete their math unit.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students in my school come from economically challenged families who rely mostly on the school to educate their children. Working with these students with limited resources is detrimental to them, their school, and their community.
The students I work with are socially and economically challenged.
They are excited to learn but lack the tools and materials to support their learning. Our school consists of free and reduced lunch, as well as receiving Title 1 funds from the state to help support the teaching in our building.
My Project
The majority of these materials will be used for as long as the SBAC test is in place. The teachers have limited resources of SBAC materials as well as Common Core aligned materials so the materials from this project will definitely be used frequently. My students need resources that are Common Core aligned in Connecticut. The students are also missing the necessary calculators in order to complete their math unit.
Our students are excited to learn in our building.
Providing them with adequate materials and resources so they can achieve the goals set before them by the state as well as providing the teachers with the necessary materials so they can help their students will increase our classroom environments because the students will feel successful as well as make great achievements in their education.
