My Project
One of the best things about learning about electricity is seeing it in action live.
A Van de Graaff generator will let me do several very cool demonstrations and experiments with my students.
This way they will see how electricity actually works, instead of it just being some mysterious force.
Examples include: Touching it to see your hair stand up, watching the lightning bolts strike the wand, lighting up a fluorescent light bulb by holding it near the dome, shocking each other by touching the dome and another student, or repelling objects such as pie tins.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
