My Project
My students have been impacted by COVID-19 in their music making abilities. They were unable to sing or really interact with one another and they are more resistant to moving to, singing to and understanding music. The xylophone, books and rainsticks will help encourage my students to grow in their appreciation of music, music theory knowledge and music making skills by providing fun, hands-on resources for them to get immersed in the music learning experience. Music should be taught by doing, not just watching or listening. The requested resources will help my students be physically and actively engaged while also growing their love and appreciation for music.
