My students need these mats to advance their tumbling skills. Instead of using one mat for everything, each mat could be designated for each skill and everyone could build skills at the same time.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The Eagles Cheer Squad is full of energetic, hardworking, positive scholar athletes who strive to succeed in everything they do. Although they all come from different walks of life, they have the same common goals, which are to promote positive energy to all those around them, demonstrate leadership qualities in and out of the gym, gain skills in all aspects of cheer, and have fun.
This team has come a long way with having very little skill and knowledge about the sport but always strive to ACHIEVE the best with no questions asked.
All that's left is the proper equipment.
My Project
Hello all,
We are the Eagles Cheer Team, and we are a brand new competing team here in New York state.
We have been working on our tumbling skills for one year and have gotten as far as two back handsprings. The mats we hope to get from our generous donors could help us accomplish more in a short period of time.
In December, we competed for the first time at the New Rochelle competition and came in 6th place in our elementary division. We would like to have the opportunity to build our skills (backhand springs, back tucks, and so on) like all the surrounding teams, but to do that we need your help!
Our coach has been doing everything in her power to help us succeed, but she is only one person. We are in need of more mats. With more equipment, we can work on different tumbling skills simultaneously!
So please help us get to our goal as it will help us tremendously!
