The specific items I am requesting will make a difference in the learning of the students I will interact with. I am requesting an adjustable standing desk and whiteboard easel. My goal for this project is for me to be able to create an area for learning designated for number sense routines to guide students in becoming fluent in math (with strategies and number relationships).
Having the requested items will provide the students with a designated area for number sense routines.
As a math coach, I spend a lot of time in teachers' classrooms as I work with them and their students. The items I am requesting, will allow students to be able to participate in number sense routines whether they are at the carpet or in their desk without having to rearrange a teacher's room but still providing students with a designated area for learning that is visible by all students. The adjustable standing desk and the whiteboard easel will be portable, great for spontaneous changes, and support diverse learning styles.
