The students of my kindergarten class are kind, loving, and eager to learn. My classroom is geared towards hands-on learning where students are always engaging in manipulatives and building positive relationships with one another. Their energetic attitudes and love for learning keeps me motivated as a teacher to give them the best education possible.
Kinder students at our school support one another and are always striving to do their best, each and every day.
I hope through DonorsChoose we can bridge the Title I gap that our students face. I hope to help my students make positive changes in our world through giving them a great kindergarten education.
My Project
Do you remember going to the science museum as a child and wondering how you could give a ball momentum? How about creating paper airplanes in class and figuring out how they could fly further? What about having fire fighters come out to test your 6th grade class on how well they engineered a contraption to keep an egg intact after it was dropped from the top of the fire ladder?
Science is an important component to learning.
Hands-on learning and investigation are important to peak interest in any subject area. Kindergarten students learn by exploring, building, and reading. Through these interactive nonfiction and fiction picture books, students will be able to learn about sound waves, the human body, and technologies, such as their backpack. These books bring science back to our roots and make learning meaningful to us as five year olds. We can grow our knowledge in a fun way with these stories and then dive deeper into the subject all year long with hands on activities that go hand in hand with the books you are providing.
Thank you for bringing literacy to our science units and making science relative to our every day lives. This is the first step in creating future engineers.
