My Project
I am building a thinking classroom to help make learning fun again. I am learning new ways to challenge students and make learning more engaging. Part of this new strategy of teaching and learning is identifying different ways students learn.
Not only do we need to consider those that learn by reading or doing, but it is also important to look at the student's environment.
I have learned that I need to provide alternative environment options for my students.
Some students have difficulty staying still or fidget when seated for too long and it becomes a distraction to that student or others. By offering the ability to change to a standing desk, it often reengages their focus.
Please help me provide a standing desk for my students that need help refocusing on their work during class. I have seen the success that is coming with these changes and the excitement my students are experiencing.
